EyeCheckup processes retinal fundus images and Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) scans using artificial intelligence algorithms. All images are processed in an anonymous or pseudonymized format, meaning:
- No directly identifiable personal information (such as name, ID number, or contact details) is required for analysis
- Any metadata that could identify an individual is removed or masked prior to processing
- Images are analyzed solely for medical diagnostic support purposes

The processed images are used exclusively to:
- Detect and assess potential ocular and systemic conditions
- Support healthcare professionals in clinical decision-making
- Improve the performance and accuracy of our algorithms (where permitted and properly anonymized)
